Tegwyn Stephenson is Ireland Country Lead at Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB), a globalnon-profit which works with governments to open skilled migration pathways and connectsskilled refugees and displaced individuals with employers experiencing skills shortages.
Tegwyn joined TBB in November 2023 from the International Organisation for Migration(IOM – UN Migration Agency) where she worked as a National Programme Officer managing national and EU-funded criminal justice and labour migration projects. During her time at IOM Ireland she also served as Acting Chief of Mission. Prior to this she worked in national politics for 15 years, including four years for the Minister of State for Equality, Immigration and Integration, David Stanton TD.
Tegwyn has extensive experience in the area of migration and more than 20 years’ experience working in stakeholder and civic engagement, policy and legislative reform, research and advocacy. At TBB, she is responsible, with project partners, for the management and delivery of two EU-funded programmes relating to labour migration as a complementary pathway for highly skilled refugees and displaced persons using the employment permits system. To date in 2024, these programmes have resulted in the relocation of six individuals to Ireland with more in the recruitment and immigration processes.
