With strong experience in the area of public service reform, Sarah joined the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science in 2021, where she has responsibility for the Construction and Green Skills Unit. In this role she is responsible for national construction skills and green skills policy.
A particular focus within construction skills is on construction safety, and Sarah is working with partners across the sector to advance the Construction Safety Licensing Bill 2023. Approved by Government in December 2022, the draft Bill aims to improve safety training arrangements for workers in construction and quarrying activities.
