Maria O’Dwyer

Maria is part of the Uisce Éireann executive team and has responsibility for the delivery of the water and wastewater capital investment programmes. The planned programme over the five-year period 2020-2024 totals a value of €5.3bn with an expected spend of €8-10bn for 2025-2029. The role has direct responsibility for all activities from design, planning and procurement through to construction delivery. Prior to taking up this role, Maria was Head of Asset Management in Uisce Éireann and previously held a number of senior management roles in both Gas Networks Ireland and Uisce Éireann. Maria is a Chartered Engineer, has a Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Science from University College Dublin. She also holds Postgraduate Diplomas in Supply Chain Management (University College Cork), Business and Executive Coaching (Smurfit Business School) and a Diploma in Company Direction (Institute of Directors). Maria is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the SEAI.
