Claire is a Senior Research Fellow for ODI Europe. She coordinates ODI Europe’s research portfolio and contributes to public affairs work in relation to migration and asylum in Europe. Her research has looked in depth at labour migration, including in relation to the adult social care sector. She is currently expanding ODI Europe’s labour mobility portfolio to look at how migrant workers could contribute to the green transition across European countries, with several case studies published that look in depth at the retrofitting sector. Claire also leads the development of ODI’s extensive research portfolio on public attitudes and narratives around refugees and other migrants, with studies spanning 11 European countries. Prior to joining ODI, Claire worked as a policy researcher and advisor, with institutions such as UNICEF, Oxfam and Save the Children, and covering a wide range of social and economic policy issues, including inequality and fiscal policies in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. Claire holds a Master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree in European Law and French from the University of Exeter.
